Please pray that my husband finds a job soon. We have been with no income for 4 weeks now. It is hard to provide for a family of 4 but I know God will answer my prayer.

Dear Praying Wife,

What type of experience does your husband have? How long was he at each of his last two jobs?

I'm not on these blogs very often, but I will try to check back again within in the next week to see if you have posted a response. I hope your husband has found a job at this point. But if not, then hopefully I can make some helpful suggestions or referrals.

Best wishes to your family!

To Praying Wife,
God is always with us in the good times and in the bad. I have had so many bad times but I always rely on my faith in God. There are also people here that care about you and your family. Ask for help and let others help you. God Bless.....

I received the following email from Pat Croley, the volunteer coordinator for Tree of Life Mission at Crow Creek. The desperation that is felt by many of the Indians is heart-breaking.
Thanks for your prayers.

Hello everyone,

We haven't had a suicide since last November until today. A 65 year old man hung himself. He is Nicole's (Peter's wife) grandmother's brother. He was driving when Nicole's grandmother was hurt and finally died. That was 8 moths ago.

Please pray - I am afraid this will trigger other suicides. We've had some attempts but we have had ten months without suicide. Please do intentional praying for the people on Crow Creek and on Rosebud. Rosebud is even worse than Crow Creek. They have had no let up since 2002.

Pray for us.

Pat

Please pray for the family of C.A. Bridges. C.A.'s mom Lois and my mom were close friends when we were kids growing up. Lois and my mom were both nurses, and were married to family doctors, so the two families had a great deal in common, we did a lot together. C.A. was the same age as my sister Kathy; they too had a close friendship.
When my mother died , the Bridges family was a tremendous source of strength and support for us. They cried when we cried, brought meals over, and helped us get thru some tough times. Lois, in many ways, became the surrogate grandmother our mother never had the chance to be. The last time I saw C.A. and Lois was at the HS graduation of my niece Jordan this past June.
I just received notice that C.A. died of an apparent massive heart attack this past Saturday. He was only 41.
