PromiseLand Preschool welcomes you and your child to our program. Our program is a Christian preschool that promotes morals and Christian principles.
Mission Statement: PromiseLand Preschool’s mission is to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment founded in Christian principles that enables young children to know and grow in God’s love and go forth confidently into the world.
CURRICULUM
At PromiseLandPreschool, we believe that all children have the ability to learn. We also understand that all children learn differently. We will use this philosophy when teaching your child. We will use techniques that are developmentally appropriate for children at this age. These techniques are encouraged by NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children). If a strategy is not developmentally appropriate, a child will struggle and not enjoy learning.
Throughout the year we will work on the following core skills: Fine motor, Gross Motor, Letter Recognition, Number Recognition, Life Skills, Shape and Color Recognition.
At PromiseLandPreschool, we will teach the children these skills by using a variety of techniques. One technique will be learning centers. This is a great opportunity for the child to explore and learn a skill through self-discovery. The teacher will guide them through the center,however the child will learn the skill by working in the center. Another technique is group instruction. This could be a variety of things: Calendar, reading a book, or making a craft. In addition to academic skills, we will encourage the students to play. This is very important for children to develop social skills. All activities have a purpose.
